In the new movie "Joyful Noise," Dolly Parton shows off her arm while pelting Queen Latifah with dinner rolls. "I was banging her pretty good," Parton told Jon Stewart when she appeared as a guest on "The Daily Show" on Thursday. "But she deserved it. She deserved every roll I threw at her," she said, laughing.
Opening today, "Joyful Noise" is the story of a choir trying to revive its small southern town -- which has fallen on hard times -- by winning a national choir competition. The movie includes a range of music, including Gospel: a genre of which Parton is particularly fond. "I still have a feeling singing Gospel music that I don't get in anything else," she told Stewart.
