Tweed Jackets That Every Girl Should Own (PHOTOS)

I was more than a little annoyed recently when I tried to stuff my leather jacket-clad arms into my puffer coat, and the result was sausage arms that reminded me of an overdressed toddler. The answer to this quandary is the tweed jacket--structured, warm and pliable. It is the perfect layering piece.

The topper reached iconic status under Mademoiselle Coco Chanel--who was rarely without the boucle version (and always dripping in pearls, bien sur!). Tweed blazers, especially in their rough, herringbone incarnation, call to mind the Scottish highlands, while in a soft boucle the jacket reads pure Parisian lady. I love to pair mine (scored for $20 at a flea market), with jeans and ballet flats for a Diane Kruger look.
