'Two And A Half Men': Walden Reveals His Dramatic New Look For Zoey (VIDEO)

First Posted: 01/17/12 04:56 AM ET Updated: 01/17/12 08:24 AM ET

For half a year, "Two and a Half Men" (Mon., 9 p.m. EST on CBS) have been watching Ashton Kutcher's man-child Walden Schmidt sporting a beard and what Zoey called Jennifer Aniston's hair. It's probably not his most flattering look, but was certainly distinctive and set him apart visually from Charlie Sheen.

As the show has evolved and he finds himself getting more serious with Zoey, suddenly the issue of his appearance came up. With a big event coming up for work, she was hoping he might look a little more professionally presentable. Walden took offense at her trying to control him, but ultimately got on board with her idea of both a shave and a haircut.

As such, when she came over to apologize for pushing the issue, she was stunned to see a clean-shaven young man standing in front of her. The new look made the 33-year old Kutcher look much younger even than that, and certainly emphasized his traditional handsomeness.

The evolution of the new "Two and a Half Men" continues, with Alan reconnecting with Lyndsey in a relationship that's certainly far less sexual than he might like, and that they can overhear coming from Walden's room upstairs. As for Jake, his slow transformation with Eldridge into Beavis and Butt-Head is nearing its completion, with a shout-out to the animated duo in this week's installment.

Follow Walden's new look as "Two and a Half Men" continues Mondays at 8:30 p.m. EST on CBS.

Agreed, it's not the same show without Charlie. Ashton and his Walden character just don't have what it takes. When I look at Ashton, all I see is his extramarital dalliance. Too much Kabbalah, not enough edginess or comedic timing. I like the Alan and Jake characters, but not enough to continue tuning in. Ashton is simply a snooze.

Not the same without Charlie but the new Ashton look is such an improvement it might let me at least tolerate the new show.

My biggest beef with "Men" now is what they've allowed the character of Alan to become. He has become entirely crude and unpolished, which is a far cry from how that character started. In this weeks' episode, he's blatantly and openly taking advantage of Walden. Granted, he did it to Charlie, but that was his brother. Walden has been very giving, and Alan is totally unappreciative. he used to have manners. Speaking of, talking about "rubbing one out" in front of a lady is not something the Alan of the early years would ever have said. He used to be a funny character, now, I actually hide my face from the TV from all the inane things he says and does.

I think AK is doing a great job on Men. It's difficult to step into a major role on a hit show. I think he's making the best of it. I like his new look. Very hot! Demi, take another look at what you're throwing away. The show has also given much more screen time to Jon Cryer which is a shift in character balance. I was sick of Charlie Sheen. Boozers and druggies don't need to be portrayed in prime time comedy. I'm glad he's gone. Give AK a chance!

I dont like it .. with the look he had before he looked more mature. Now he looks once again like a teen as portrayed in "That 70's Show"

This show is unwatchable garbage without Charlie. Please...stop the pain...take it off the air, and save a few actors' reputations.

Acting wise, he peaked at "Dude, Where's My Car".
The show is OK, but he'll NEVER be a replacement for Charlie.

You are right, I watched the first episode, not funny, watched the second, not funny, 3rd, not funny, the reason I watched all those, was because I wanted to give it a chance, it didn't happen, don't watch anymore. But, I wonder, isn't the writer the same guy that wrote for Charlie? Why is not funny?

The show has its moments but they're to few and to far apart,
and even fewer are delivered by AK.
It's all of the co stars that make it funny.
They should just let it pass on its own instead of leaving it on life support.
