Vicky Joseph: Helping Families Survive And Thrive

One woman's sacrifice at the risk of losing her life more than 60 years ago and more than 4,000 miles away made more than a difference in the life of Vicky Joseph—it could very well be the reason she is alive.

Joseph, the founder of Naperville nonprofit Families Helping Families, was "haunted" by the idea of a mother not being able to provide for her children. The idea spawned from her mother’s experience as a Holocaust survivor in the Netherlands.
