John Boehner: Keystone Breaks Obama's Jobs Promise

Keystone Boehner

01/18/12 03:37 PM ET   AP

WASHINGTON -- House Speaker John Boehner says President Barack Obama is breaking his promise to create jobs by rejecting a plan to build an oil pipeline from Canada to Texas.

Boehner says Republicans will keep fighting for the Keystone XL pipeline because the project is good for the U.S. economy because it would create thousands of jobs.

The president says he's turning down the project not because it isn't worthy, but because of what he calls an arbitrary Feb. 21 deadline he was given by Congress to make a decision. The deadline was set by a GOP-written provision as part of a tax bill that Obama signed into law just before Christmas.

John Boehner broke his promise on creating Jobs in pushing for the GOP take over of the house in 2010. Remember the GOP slogan "Jobs, Jobs, Jobs." In 2012 the GOP elected will be needing a Jobs program as they will be out of their jobs with only a 11% job approval.

Debunking The GOP’s Lie That Keystone XL Will Create Hundreds Of Thousands Of Jobs

John Boehner is wanting us all to buy into a big lie about thousands of jobs which in fact DON'T exist.

Boehner even had an honest moment about the number of jobs in Decemeber when he appeared on 'Meet the Press.' In this appearance he stated that the pipeline would only provide 2,000 temporary jobs. So Boehner does have his moments of honesty, however, fleeting. Honesty just doesn't play into the party's need to inflame and manipulate the populas. Afterall, they never addressed the threat to the livihood of farmers and what the farmers in the region that was concerned over the pipeline provides the country. That proposed a far greater long term threat to our economy than the pipeline could ever provide in the future. You never heard the Republicans address this issue did you?

Heck no! That would mean that they would have to defend the environment; besides, Big Oil pays them more than the farmers do.

Notice he NEVER mentions HIS Jobs promise.....Where are those jobs crybaby????
The Keystone jobs are grossly over exaggerated and are not permanent jobs by any means.

Boehner dead on target here.

"Lost Keystone jobs" is going to be the gift that keeps on giving this election. Look for "Keystone Democrats" to cross party lines and vote for Romney.

But, according to the GOP, they were in session the entire time! So, they were really there working on creating all those jobs they promised.

Yes, like my Sen. McConnell that has a home there. Poor baby, he works so hard for his slimmy millions.
