Apple is hosting an education-themed event at New York City's Guggenheim Museum at 10 a.m. EST on Thursday.

What will the company unveil? AllThingsD has speculated that the event will center around digital textbook publishing for iPad. TechCrunch adds that the company may also announce improvements to the iBooks platform.
