On Wednesday, the rumor mill went crazy when action star Chuck Norris declared the script for "The Expendables 2" too vulgar, and was upset by the idea that "many young people" would miss out. "I said I won't be a part of that if the hardcore language is not erased," he told the Polish paper Gazeta, (via First Showing). "Producers accepted my conditions and the movie will be rated PG-13."
Sylvester Stallone has confirmed that the second part of this epic blood battle will indeed receive a wholesome rating, but promises stars Jean-Claude Van Damme, Bruce Willis, Liam Hemsworth, Arnold Schwarzenegger and more will deliver.
"The film is fantastic with Van Damme turning in an inspired performance... Our final battle is one for the ages," Stallone told AICN. "The PG-13 rumor is true, but before your readers pass judgement, trust me when I say this film is LARGE in every way and delivers on every level. This movie touches on many emotions which we want to share with broadest audience possible, BUT, fear not, this Barbeque of Grand Scale Ass Bashing will not leave anyone hungry... Sly."
The young people can catch "The Expendables 2" in theaters on August 17.
