Jerry Springer Feels Bad About Upsetting Fox News

Jerry Springer

First Posted: 01/20/12 03:32 PM ET Updated: 01/20/12 03:51 PM ET

Talk show legend Jerry Springer found himself in a battle worthy of his own show this week when he got into a heated argument with "Fox and Friends" co-host Gretchen Carlson. The two clashed over an article in Newsweek titled "Why Are Obama's Critics So Dumb?" Springer told Carlson that Fox News criticized Obama every day, something Carlson didn't like too much. But now, Jerry is saying he didn't mean to cause too much trouble -- he was just telling the truth.

"I feel bad about it," Jerry tells me. "Yes, the cover was biased towards Obama, but when you open the magazine and read the article it points out that both liberals and conservatives are upset."

Jerry, who admits he is a President Obama supporter, wasn't having any of Carlson's statement that she is an independent on the morning show panel, and that the show presents both sides of the story.

"I said, you are upset about the Newsweek story and we are on Fox News and you are biased," he says. "I don't mean it as a negative. MSNBC is liberal. Every single morning on that show they bash Obama but why do we deny it?"

Jerry said after the interview the producers were very upset with him, even screamed at him. But after 20 years of hosting "The Jerry Springer Show" he can handle it.

So what if people complain about Obama every day? People complained about G.W. Bush, too. This is America, and people can voice their opinions about elected officials - just don't threaten them on Facebook, one fool got caught doing that a week or two ago.

Gretchen Carlson criticized Serena Williams' outburst on the tennis court during Monday's "Fox and Friends," and wondered if her comments had a "racial undertone."

"This is what's wrong with our society today," she said. "That's the entitlement generation right there." Kilmeade disagreed, saying that tennis stars like John McEnroe or Jimmy Connors were always ranting on the court. Carlson said that such behavior was "sick," and that Williams was acting like her children.

"If you're not a responsible parent, to constantly say 'no, you need to take your own personal responsibility,' you end up saying things like that," she said. "...And a 'hater,' I mean was that a racial undertone? I don't quite get that."

Liberals ALWAYS apologize.

That's why we always lose. I'm tired of the constant concessions. The GOP never backs down on anything.

I almost wonder if he told that so he could reiterate his claim, which he did and so he could tell the world that the producers were angry at him.

The Fox Party is upset about someone speaking the truth again? Isn't that an everyday occurrence?

Speaking the truth on Faux News ... no that's a newsworthy event. Although, complaining about the truth, that is part of the daily programming.

The difference is, Jerry doesn't spend everyday working with two of the dumbest men on TV making him act dumb so as to not show them up.

Let's see, the difference between Fox News and the Jerry Springer Show would appear to be:

1. Burly guards on Springer.
2. Flying chairs on Springer.

Aside from those two things, I believe they're identical, right down to those really bright people in the audience. :)

And no, I am not a Springer fan. I think I've seen the show twice. LOL

Jerry shouldn't feel bad, the fixed news crew, they are
low life liars. Much worst than anyone he has ever had
on his show.
