South Carolina Primary Election 2012 Speeches: Candidates Address Supporters After Results (VIDEOS)

Not long after the final results of the South Carolina Republican primary were projected, each of the GOP presidential candidates delivered speeches to their supporters and the nation.

Newt Gingrich, the winner of Saturday's primary, came out swinging in his victory speech to supporters. The former House speaker did not go after his Republican rivals but attacked President Barack Obama, calling him "weak" and "radical." Gingrich said that elites in Washington are trying to force us to being something other than American. "I articulate the deepest felt values of the American people," he said.

Mitt Romney, who came in second place with less than a third of the vote, announced to applause he would head to Florida the next day. "We still have a long way to go and a lot of work to do," said the former Massachusetts governor. "I'm going to compete in every single state. We're going to win this nomination and we're going to beat President Obama in November."
