Warren Buffett Plays Ukulele, Sings 'I've Been Working On The Railroad' For China's New Year Gala [VIDEO]

01/22/12 12:42 PM ET   AP

BEIJING -- A hugely popular Chinese Lunar New Year variety show has a special guest star playing the ukulele: American billionaire Warren Buffett.

Buffett is shown wearing a dark sweat shirt and singing the folk song "I've Been Working On The Railroad" in the video posted on state broadcaster CCTV's "Spring Festival Gala" website Sunday.

There are no details on the website about where the 45-second clip was shot, but Buffett appears to be sitting in a small room with an elaborate model railroad set up in the background.

The video's simplicity contrasts with other performances posted on the website of the gala, which is usually a flashy extravaganza that draws 800 million viewers.

Here's previous footage of Buffett playing "I've Been Working On The Railroad:"

Interesting choice of songs considering the role Chinese labor played in the building of the transcontinental railroad and the use of Chinese labor to break strikes in the later portion of the 19th century in America. Hmmmm.

He should consider paying taxes he owes instead of playing the uke. He has been in litigation for more than 10 years to have his taxes lowered or to avoid paying them!

wonder if he did that old Cab Caloway song, " Millionaires the Moochers" It would be fitting for many of the top richest in the US today. Not saying Buffet is one of the American Hating Greedy Ruling Class, but he could be.. all the votes are not in on him yet, but he sure isnt what he leads everyone on to think he is. Ask his Grand daughter about that...

"Oh, I went greed crazy and lost a lot of the money I inherited or amassed by legal and illegal methods, but since i was rich, I deserve to be made rich again, with a good profit. And I think the Tax payers are the ones who should do it. "
The tax payer will be paying for the transfer of wealth to the richest of the ruling class for their mistakes for the next 100 years, and will anything be done to prevent them from doing it again and again? Nope. They get rewarded, patted on their backs, their egos stroked by being told they are financial geniuses and can do not wrong. So they of course believe all the suck ups and lose all track of reality. And really, when you always get bailed out with a good profit, why wouldn't you. I wonder if the reason they hate America so much is because hating their own country makes them even richer and more powerful ?

After all, Its only Business. Nothing personal

Why doesn't Warren Buffett endow a few Business School professorships around the country for Business Ethics and get the schools to agree to teach a course in ethics to all its students in their programs, so as to set some standards of discussion for everyone to become familiar with? They should have a core course in ethics mandatory for their mba students and an elective available in research methods and publication for those who want more.

What a publicity hound. You'd think by his age, you'd get over the pursuit of the press. Why doesn't anyone talk about the $600 Million he got from the FEDERAL GOVERNMENT for Berkshire Hathaway for a California solar farm?
