Who hasn't dreamed of stumbling across a treasure trove buried in a field, or uncovering a stash of priceless antiques in the attic? On "Cajun Pawn Stars" (Sun., 10 p.m. EST on History) Joker thought he might just have hit pay dirt at a yard sale.
He went into the Silver Dollar Pawn & Jewelry Center in Alexandria, Louisiana with his purchase -- an ornate leather belt, adorned with silver and turquoise medallions, which he bought for $25.
Could this be the lucky strike Joker had been waiting for?
It turned out that the belt wasn't just decorative, it was valuable too. Hand-crafted by Navajo artists, the medallions were made of real silver and turquoise and, as Walt Piper told an astonished Joker, each one was worth $250.
Just to confirm what he was hearing, Joker said "You telling me I got around two thousand dollars right here?" Ka-ching!
"Cajun Pawn Stars" airs Sunday nights, 10 p.m. EST on History.
