'Drew Peterson: Untouchable': Drew Throws Stacy Into The Television (VIDEO)

First Posted: 01/23/2012 5:53 am Updated: 01/23/2012 6:33 am

Former police officer Drew Peterson is currently is currently awaiting trial in the death of his third wife Kathleen Savio, and he is also the prime suspect in the disappearance of his fourth wife Stacy Peterson.

He reportedly watched the television movie about his life, "Drew Peterson: Untouchable" (Sat., 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime), and his attorney Joel Brosky told the Chicago Tribune that Peterson thought the film was "hysterical."

Peterson (played by Rob Lowe sporting that hair and 'tache combo) showed signs of his instability when he became suspicious of his wife Stacy (Kaley Cuoco). During a party at their house he became convinced that she was cheating on him, so he went through her cellphone looking for incriminating text messages.

Finding nothing, he announced he was going to read her emails. When she protested, he said "I can do whatever I want," and threw her into the television set. Then he just calmly opened up the laptop to read her emails.

When a wary Karen asked if everything was okay, Stacy decided to act as if nothing big had happened. She smiled and said "Everything's fine. Drew just threw me into the TV, but um ... you want to help me make margaritas?"

"Drew Peterson: Untouchable" aired Saturday, 8 p.m. EST on Lifetime.

I followed this case pretty closely. While the facts (as we know) were there, I thought the movie was pretty wretched. It was just a typical Lifetime movie. If you've ever seen this guy, casting Rob Lowe was a huge mistake. Oh, and his accent sounded more like he was from Minnesota than the Chicago suburbs.

Funny, when I left Chicago and arrived in my current town, people always asked if I was from Minnesota.

I get Michigan a lot, but most people nail Chicago on the head.

Why would he have his attorney make a statement like that?? What, did they watch it together? Order a pizza? Ridiculous...

if youve ever seen a drew peterson interview, and ive seen many of them, then youd know how perfect rob played this guy. hes obviously not gonna perfect the accent, but he did a hell of a job with his mannerisms, sarcasim, tone. everything was dead on. lifetime movies are usually a joke to me, but this was very convincing/entertaining.

As much as I enjoyed the movie, the Chicago accent wasn't perfected enough to warrant such exaggeration. IMHO as a native Chicagoan.

I watched the movie yesterday and Rob Lowe was amazing! He rocked the role and if I had not known it was Rob in advance, I might not have guessed it. He played the creepy man very, very well. (nn)

Watched the move for 20 minutes. Seriously, Rob Lowe playing that creepy, narcissistic, murdering fool??!!! I know it's a Lifetime movie, but...
10:41 AM on 01/23/2012
it was AMAZING ! you have to watch if you are from the Chicago area ...he was Drew all over again....

Rob Lowe (bless his heart) is just not a scary person.
11:07 AM on 01/23/2012
Well I don't know about that. Did you ever see "Bad Influence" with he and James Spader? He played a pretty convincing sociopath.

If you mean he's just not a freak nasty grotesque scary person though, yeah I'll co-sign that.
