UPDATE: E! Online reports that Federline has been released from the hospital and plans to undergo more tests with a cardiologist.

It's been a rough few months Down Under for Kevin Federline. The ex-husband of Britney Spears was hospitalized for chest pains during a challenge for the Australian weight loss reality show "Excess Baggage" Monday morning.

According to reports, Federline was participating in a challenge with an Australian football team that required him to do their standard running and catching warm-up drill. The 33-year-old then experienced a "roaring pulse" and signs of a cardiac arrest before being taken to the Mt Druitt Hospital, where he is expected to stay overnight. Reports that Federline had experienced a heart attack are false.

Federline, a former back-up dancer, was previously hospitalized in December for heat stress while filming the same show in the deserts of Outback Western Australia. He clocked in at 105.4 kilograms at the beginning of the program, or 232 pounds.

Can't say much of anything of support, he has gone down hill, guess no one is asking him to dance for them.

There is no such thing or things as signs of cardiac arrest. Either your heart 'arrests' - stops dead or it doesn't. HP, please confirm some basic medical facts or at the very least information before using such terms.

There are plenty of stories where someone showed signs of a coming heart attack by EMT workers. Including one a while back that happened in a doctor's office during a standard checkup.

only positive sign of a heart attack is death

A positive sign of cardiac arrest would be death. EKGs show signs of previous heart attacks.

The challenges really should not be done by the obese, or even just those who are couchpotatoes. Physical first, take a challenge, but the easy type, begin to get into shape then work on a tougher routine.

the sign of craving triple cheeseburger with cheese fries, not cardiac arrest!

Kevin was on one of those celebrity weight loss shows here in America. I guess it didn't work since he's trying it again.

signs of cardiac arrest=death....what a b.s. story....he didn't suffer a cardiac arrest....stop with the frigging sensationalism in the headlines....

Really, Huff? Your own article states he was released from the hospital and that he didn't have cardiac arrest, but you don't change your headline?? Pathetic.

Who would want to read it if it said "Kevin Federline, 232 pounds, Falls over After Trying to lift Leg"...lol "

Obviously not cardiac arrest. I am thinking he was suffer from hunger pains....

Why is this news? K-Fed was old hat 5 years ago. Many other people have heart issues and don't get a headline.

And yeah, given that he's overweight and was doing drills I'm not all that shocked that his heart was going rather rapidly.

"....signs of a cardiac arrest before being taken to the Mt Druitt Hospital."

Signs of a cardiac arrest? A cardiac arrest is easy to diagnose--no pulse.

Wow...seems he uses "a medical emergency" as his way out of doing something instead of saying he CANT do it. Or ...hes just to lazy.
