Bethenny Frankel's Talk Show Gets Summer Trial

Bethenny Frankel's supposedly dead talk show is very much alive. According to the reality star, her daytime talk show is heading to Fox for a summer run.

"It is going to be an exciting journey and I can't wait for you to join me," Frankel wrote on her website. "Thanks for being so loyal and supportive, without you, this wouldn't be happening."

Broadcasting and Cable reports 'Bethenny' will air for six weeks on Fox stations in select areas, including New York and Los Angeles.

"A year ago, we determined there was a need in the marketplace for a show that provided daytime women the opportunity to hang out with someone who understood their needs, desires and aspirations ... a girlfriend," Ken Werner, president of Warner Bros. Domestic Television Distribution, said in a statement. "The research is clear that Bethenny is that person. Fox shared our vision and we have partnered with them to demonstrate to the rest of the country how compelling such a show can be."

Frankel's daytime project was originally announced in August 2011 after she made several appearances on Ellen DeGeneres' talk show. DeGeneres and Frankel will serve as executive producers on the project.

Frankel can next be seen in Season 3 of her Bravo reality show, "Bethenny Ever After."

The Soup will be having a field day with this show. She'll be able to supply them with enough "entertainment" to fill weeks and weeks of programs. My sympathies to the folks who watch Good Day New York ....

Once I read that her marriage to Jason is hitting rough spots, I blame Bethanny 100%. This guy is the most gentle, patient man. She has problems with his parents, they are the most down to earth couple and have bent over backward to let her run the show. Is it too much to allow the grandparents to bond with grandchild? I've always defended Bethanny's quirks, but adding a talk show to her busy life, where does that leave her husband in the grand scheme of their life? I've seen advertisements for their upcoming Bravo series, 'Jason has cobwebs on his penis'. Would it kill her to make 15 minutes out of her day to give a little TLC to her spouse? Never thought I'd say it, but the writing is on the wall, Bethanny isn't capable of letting someone love her. I can't watch this train wreck.

She was mildly entertaining as the poor, opinionated 'friend' of rich NYC Housewife, Jill Zarin, but Andy has been thinking that he can throw anything on the tv schedule and we'll watch. When a show centers around her, she's disgusting and completely self-absorbed and unwatchable. Her downfall? She believes her own hype. Reminds me of the Crypt-Keeper from the HBO series.

The Magic Johnson Show lasted 8 weeks. Chevy Chase's lasted about six. I say six weeks.

Hers MAY list a little longer because it's only airing in large markets. Magic and Chevy bombed nationally. FOX knows, at heart, this show won't make it on a national level. Just cut your losses and fire the idiot who thought this was ever a good idea. Do tv executives actually own tv's???
