Find Your Ultimate Chicken Wings (FLOWCHART)

First Posted: 01/24/2012 2:38 pm   Updated: 08/31/2012 10:48 am

You know that expression, "You are what you eat?" Well, come Super Bowl season, a lot of us must be chicken wings. But what kind of wings are we? Not all of them are created equal. There are spicy ones and sweet ones, Asian fusion varieties and the classic bright-orange buffalo.

There's a different flavor for every taste -- and for every personality. For example, some people can eat an entire jalapeno raw -- and like it! They aren't going to enjoy the same type of chicken wings as those who are frightened by the mere sight of tabasco. Some are intrigued by the exotic, while others like to stick to the classics.

Wings are arguably one of the best football snacks there is. (Stay tuned for our Super Bowl party foods showdown and vote for your favorite dish!) They are full of protein, helping you maintain your stamina while watching the game (and that's important, right?). So, you'll want to be sure that you're making the right ones -- so what's your wings personality? Find out in the infographic below.

Which wings did you end up with? Let us know in the comments section below!

Did anyone try cooking any of the recipes? I was just wondering because I wanted to know how hot (spicy) they were.

Five of these, you'ld never even find at your local wing shack. My favorites are hot wings with the heat amped up, honey barbecue if I'm in the mood for sweet and lemon pepper. The problem with wings, of course, is that everyone tries to hog the drumettes.

I hate buffalo wings, I prefer like a honey bbq sauce on my wings, and add a pinch of cayenne pepper to spice it up. I always bake or grill my wings on some foil....I never fry them.

My favorite are the factory farmed ones where the chickens never see sunlight, are pumped full of antibiotics, and have there beaks cut off. Mmmmmm, torture never tasted so good!

Classic only, get rid of the rest. Cut into pieces, salt, pepper fry until done, coat with sauce put into 200 deg oven until sauce bakes on. The best.

Breaded wings are sacrilege...love the classic buffalo but love Korean BBQ and spicy Asian peanut or plum sauce on them too.

Buffalo all the way, with a side of chunky blue cheese please and thanks, duh! ;)

I am being facetious of course aside from the fact that I do love their breaded wings.

Wings have been my favorite part of the chicken since I was a little girl. I was always lucky because they were the cheapest too. It's horrible how expensive they've become just because people want to spice them up now and sow off how hot they can eat them.

Breaded and pan fried in bacon grease is the best!

My preference: not fried.

I used to buy wings when they were one of the cheapest cuts on the chicken. I even cooked the flappers. Too bad I can't come up with chicken NECK recipe that's just as good as wings.

You give all options except the easiest and the best, plain, breaded deep fried wings. No need to dip, no need for extra napkins, no need to get your stomach pumped, and you will be able to watch the entire game without visiting the rest room every 5 minutes, when will people learn!

Buffalo wings are NOT breaded. Breading them also takes them off the Atkins approved list.
