Daily Mail

British tabloid Daily Mail has seemingly surpassed the New York Times in a big way.

Daily Mail's website, Mail Online, has surpassed New York Times' website traffic, knocking the Times off its perch as the newspaper with the most website traffic in the world.

In an interview with Buzzfeed, editor and publisher of Mail's digital properties, Martin Clarke, attributed the growth to an increase in U.S. traffic. The numbers were based on information from comScore, an online tracking service.

A spokesperson from the New York Times rebutted the new information regarding Mail Online's traffic. The Times' Eileen Murphy told Buzzfeed that the Mail only surpassed New York Times by including more of their properties. As standalone newspapers, Murphy said the Times remains as the number one newspaper site worldwide.

As of November 2011, the Times was the third most circulated newspaper in the U.S. The Wall Street Journal and USA Today were the first and second most circulated newspapers in the U.S. As a whole, global circulation of newspapers was down for the second consecutive year.

That paper is so full of flaws. It is frequently anti-American and catty. Many of the articles are not factual. The spelling is horrible.

It's beyond anti-American. Although the newspaper bills itself to report new of britain and the world, the only news it carries is about the United States. Literary their entire front page is nothing but odd "news of the weird" stories from Idaho to Florida. It reads like the Onion. Many of the stories have to be made up. The purpose of this trashy british tabloid is to completely dehumanize the American people. It's sick. I suspect the reason why so many read it is to gaze in shock at the idiotic nature of the stories and a rancid form of anti-Americanism that makes the RT News blush.

Perhaps that's because you're accessing it in the USA?

I would suspect the left wing enjoys it since it's loaded with anti-American propaganda in the most shocking and blatant form.

no it's not, it's far more anti-British in that it loves reporting on British faults.  Americans like you believe that having the truth about your country reported is "anti-American"..The USA is the most propagandist country in the world after North Korea, paradoxically anything that doesn't match up to the ridiculous myths (Land Of The Free?) you feed yourselves and the world gets labelled "anti American propaganda"

Seriously? The daily mail is possibly the most conservative, jingoistic newspaper in the UK. It is the very definition of right-wing. Your conservative news media rarely holds other nations in a good light, why would a conservative news media in a foreign country treat you any different?
