Architectural mapping has its practical purposes, but where's the fun in that? Brazilian architectural lighting collective 3DM appear to agree with that sentiment. The wildly creative group has applied the trendy technology to a local skatepark in Sao Paulo's countryside, creating an astonishing light show that rivals any Disney parade.
The visual display ranges from outlining the structure to more surreal moments, where the half pipe is figuratively dissected and reconstructed. It's stunning to see reality being challenged right before our eyes, blurring the line between what we perceive and what is actually there. It's very beautiful, but we'd probably wait for the light show to be over before we dropped in to the fray.
