'The Chew': Carla Hall Challenges Lucy Lawless To A Sword Fight (VIDEO)

What happens when a warrior princess stops by a food and lifestyle show? Obviously a sword fight.

While promoting the new season of "Spartacus: Vengeance," Lawless revealed to "The Chew" (weekdays, 1 p.m. EST on ABC) panel that she hated the fighting on "Xena," her breakout role.

"Always hated it," Lawless said when asked about her fighting "Xena" days. "But I wasn't in a position to indulge that hatred of fighting. I had to do it and get it over and done with as soon as possible. I was bruised for like two years solid because I sucked at it."

When gladiator gear got brought out, "Top Chef" veteran Carla Hall decided it was time to test Lawless' "Xena" training.

"Let's get into a fight," Hall said to Lawless. "Show me something."

Battle on, Lucy and Carla!

Lawless is being modest. She had some pretty impressive moves for a non professional in the fight scenes she did on Xena.

Gah, what's it going to take to get a Xena movie?!

Universal needs to give back the rights to Rob Tapert/Sam Raimi. For some reason, they wont.

Oh really? I hadn't realized that. Well, poo, I guess we won't be seeing a Xena movie then.

My Gods, she looks GREAT! O_O I was disappointed that Lawless had lost so much weight for "Battlestar Galactica". She finally looks like she's back to her "Xena" shape again. Awesome!

Lucy should have done a Xena war cry, and yelled "Kill them all"... that would have psyched out her opponent.....
