Rich Kids For Romney: 'I Like Firing People' (EXCLUSIVE VIDEO)

First Posted: 01/25/2012 3:23 pm Updated: 01/25/2012 3:23 pm

One of the many things we love about children is that they have no filter; they simply "tell it like it is."

When Mitt Romney said he enjoys firing people, many Americans were aghast. How could a presidential candidate say such a thing, especially in this economy? But kids know better. Firing people is fun; most of us are just too afraid to admit it.

Last week, Rich Kids for Romney announced their endorsement of the former Massachusetts governor, and now they're back with a more nuanced look at what makes Mitt Romney the best man for the job.

And the timing couldn't be better. After taking a pummeling from Newt Gingrich in Saturday's South Carolina primary, Romney has some serious ground to make up. Lucky for him, these kids are committed to promoting a message of wealth, privilege and sacking people.

I want someone as president who has never been financially successful, i.,e., "rich." That's the only kind of person who can understand the American people and help us.

do we need to drag our kids into this disgusting mess so early in their lives?

we are sticking them with a huge national debt to deal with, isnt that enough?

This is an obvious joke! C'mon! If anything, it absolutely highlights the how absurd Romney's statement was. I can't think of any normal person who could "enjoy" being able to fire people. It sounds mean and elitist.

Before I ran screaming from organized religion, I used to teach Sunday school. (I'll give you a moment to recover from that).

The church I went to had a mixed congregation in terms of family income, from very wealthy to middle class to blue collar. It also had a commitment to charity work, and so we had a number of projects for the kids throughout the year.

Without exception, the kids who bitched and moaned the most were the rich kids. When asked to bring in a used toy for Christmas, they inevitably brought in the smallest, cheapest toy they could find, when they had more toys than they knew what to do with.

When we made piggy banks out of orange juice containers and asked them to put pennies in for Lent,to send overseas, I remember one over-entitled brat asking me whether or not they could "give up giving up". The middle class and blue collar kids brought in full piggy banks; the rich ones had a few lonely pennies rattling around the bottom of theirs.

At graduation, I had to forcibly stop the well-heeled ones from taking 5ths and 6th helping of food and drink.

They're learning this greed from somewhere. They already had more than enough but were grabbing as much as they could. And these were kids being brought to church!

So the above ad doesn't surprise me one bit.

I am really opposed to this. Putting children in these kinds of video's is wrong and not funny.

What parents allows their child to be filmed doing this?

Let children be children, parents.

Sure, this is really terrible. Republicans' ideas about making kids work as janitors and taking away public education funds isn't what upsets you enough to write a comment. This is? Grow up!
