LOOK: New Delhi Parade Commemorates 63rd Republic Day

On Thursday, India celebrated the 63rd annual Republic Day, marking the day on which India's constitution became the primary governing document of the country three years after India declared independence in 1947. One of the country's three national holidays, Republic Day is celebrated with a parade in New Delhi. This year, Indian Prime Minister Manmohan Singh attended the parade along with Thailand's Prime Minister Yingluck Shinawatra, 2012’s guest of honor. The parade included a display of weaponry, a variety of marching contingents and lots of songs and dance. Check out the photos below to see the colorful celebrations.
