Karl Lagerfeld Interviews Himself On Net-A-Porter

Karl Lagerfeld

First Posted: 01/26/2012 5:12 pm Updated: 01/26/2012 5:12 pm

Are you curious about what Karl Lagerfeld thinks about his work, life, fashion, and what he would take to a desert island?

In a completely bizarre but totally fair move, Lagerfeld interviews himself in this Net-A-Porter video below, which is arguably a work of art. He answers the metaphysical questions that have been plaguing him, and dismisses any questions he deems trivial. The famous German fashion designer says, "I would like you to describe you, and tell you if you are really that way." He replies, "You have what you see, that's all."

Happy Design Thursday, everyone!

Karl should devote some "design time" to his image/garb and lose that tired, 80's, old hipster look.

Just bought some Sun, Moon and Stars. Smells so good, but I wish it was made by someone else. I hate that my money is contributing to his nonsense.

Prime example of a person having enough $$$ to make a fool out of himself not once but twice!

the epitomy of narcissism.
This is from a guy that still think anorexia should be the norm in modeling and his aversion to any model with more than 2% fat is exasperating.

The more disturbing trend is the "normal" men who seem to put the same anorexic women to some sort of pedestal.

Eccentric narcissist and just a plain pretentious and ostentatious "richard".

Now that he has officially interviewed himself Face to Face, I wonder if he could do the world a favor and go F himself. LOL. I have always been a huge fan of Karl's design talent, his view of life and women - not so much.

I recommend watching "Lagerfeld Confidential" for a more substantial look at the life of this fashion icon.

Love that. I've watched it more than once.. The multi-episode "Signé Chanel" is good, too. It's about the creation of a collection.
