Katy Perry has been keeping busy since her split from Russell Brand, and now she's ready for her first big night out.
The 27-year-old singer is going to party in Las Vegas for a good cause. Us Weekly reports that Perry will make her first post-split appearance at the grand opening of of 1 OAK Las Vegas at The Mirage Hotel on Jan. 27.
The "Waking Up In Vegas" singer will join her friend Markus Molinari of J.Molinari Jewelers at the party that's also a benefit for co-founder Patricia Arquette's charity GiveLove, which aims to develop temporary housing solutions and improved sanitation systems in Haiti.
No one was shocked when Perry decided to back out of the 2012 People's Choice Awards, which came just days after Brand filed for divorce, but it could have been an uplifting night. The singer nabbed five of the seven awards she was nominated for, which goes to show how much her fans adore her.
Even though it has been less than a month since the split, Perry seems to be keeping it together. She's continued to tour throughout this difficult time, and told everyone to simmer down after she plucked a random male fan from the audience to peck on the cheek.
"Btw, I have *kissed* 1 boy, picked randomly out of the audience, on the cheek as a part of my show for all 125 tour dates. Simmer down now," she tweeted.
