#LGBTFacts, Hijacked Twitter Hashtag, Pokes Fun At Anti-Gay User With Parody Tweets

A Twitter user dedicated to "spreading the truth about the abhorrent homosexual lifestyle" can't be too thrilled by the recent pro-gay "hijacking" of the #lgbtfacts hashtag for more humorous purposes.

Though its legitimacy is, of course, questionable, @LGBTFacts has offered up some incredibly offensive statements on Twitter about lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) people and allies. Among the many tweets:

Whoever the source behind the account is, their plan seems to have backfired, as apparently pro-gay users have "hijacked" its hashtag, with some hilarious results.

@LGBTfacts is a twitterer who started out tweeting under the name GodsWordIsLaw among others on the #no4m (National Org for Marriage) and #SSM tags (though he's disappeared lately)

He's seriously deranged, and he believes what he says. I've had personal altercations with him via direct tweets, and he's a vile, foul mouthed person who assumes anyone supporting equal rights is gay, has reveled in the thought of the deaths of gay people, and is preoccupied with explicit twisted descriptions of sex acts he's obsessed with.

That's part of the reason we haven't taken him at all seriously on the #LGBTfacts tag he created. We knew that @LGBTfacts was @GodsWordIsLaw when he was posting only on #NO4m, before he created the #LGBTfacts tag, knew his other user names, and knew how pathetic and idiotic and deranged he was.

Watching this guy has been like watching a train wreck. In his hatred, he's done a great service, because almost all of the other homophobes from the National Organization for Marriage have all but disappeared - he was too embarrassing to be associated with even for them.

As ridiculous as it seems, people actually believe this, and its truly sad. How can you have a rational discussion of gay rights with someone who thinks that homosexuality is caused by choice/abuse, and that gays molest children in order to "spread it", like some sort of virus? How can you be out to a parent who thinks that gays never wanted to be monogamous until the 1990's, and that before they all made fun of straights for being tied down?

We're looking at deep-seated ignorance and hatred. Even with legal equality and protections-the repeal of DOMA, the passing of GENDA-we face decades, if not at least a century, of ongoing education and struggles.

Seriously? Does a woman's rectum get so loose she needs a horse too? These people are so detached from reason and logic its hard to call them valid members of our free society. Being tolerant of those who have no desire to be tolerant themselves..is quite difficult.
