Media Research Center Launches 'Tell The Truth 2012' Campaign Against Mainstream Media (VIDEO)

A conservative media watchdog group is launching a $5 million campaign against the mainstream media, which it accused of "covering up the failures of the Obama presidency and attacking every Republican presidential candidate one-by-one."

Media Research Center founder Brent Bozell announced the organization's campaign in the video above. The purpose of the campaign, he said, was to battle "an onslaught of character assassination against anyone who dares to challenge Obama."

Bozell praised Newt Gingrich's rant against the "elite media," saying, "One of the candidates finally confronted the media on their blatant bias, and Americans stood up and cheered."

Apart from MRC's work documenting alleged instances of liberal bias, the campaign will consist of signs, bumper stickers, billboards, traditional advertising and social media telling people, "Don't believe the liberal media." The organization has touted the appearance of the signs in several news sources. Bozell said that MRC has raised over $3 million for the $5 million campaign, which will include "the largest social media effort ever undertaken by conservatives."

Fox News is against alternate energy progress. They blasted GM "bailout" and the Chevy Volt as a fire hazard on air. Did you ever see them report this:

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration said Friday that it did not identify a safety defect, concluding that the car does not pose any unusual risk of fire.

In closing the book on its investigation into Volts catching on fire, NHTSA also issued new guidelines for how emergency personnel and tow truck operators should deal with electric vehicles and plug-in hybrids that have been damaged in severe accidents.

The agency said it "remains unaware of any real-world crashes that have resulted in a battery-related fire involving the Chevy Volt or any other electric vehicle. NHTSA continues to believe that electric vehicles show great promise as a safe and fuel-efficient option for American drivers..."
