Members of the Tennessee Tea Party recently announced that they're "seeking to remove references to slavery and mentions of the country's founders being slave owners" from school textbooks.
It's an obviously polarizing issue, but "Conan" writer Deon Cole came up with a compromise to help make things fairer. White people want to erase slavery? Fine. But only if black people can erase their own list of unfortunate cultural contributions and confusing choices. And by that, he mostly means "Basketball Wives."
We're not sure how far the deal would get him in a court of law, but it makes about as much sense as the one the Tea Party is suggesting.
