Vintage Mavens' Shareen Sarwar Featured As Modcloth's Blogger Of The Moment (PHOTOS)

Miami's Shareen Sarwar was selected as Modcloth's Blogger of the Moment for her vintage finds and chic originals of her online shop, Vintage Mavens.

Sarwar, and her filmmaker/photographer/musician husband Jorge Rubiera just got back from their annual cross-country buying trip where they stop in at thirft stores across the States.

She told ModCloth:

I realize that the vintage in Miami is unlike any other city in America. Miami’s vintage is a true reflection of the city. The vintage is usually full of vibrant colors, quirky prints, and made of lightweight fabrics. In my opinion, it’s the best city to shop for vintage.
To honor Sarwar as their Blogger of the Moment, Mocloth named one of their tunics after the local fashion icon.

See Sarwar model the Vintage Mavens Tunic in the below photos, shot at South Pointe Pier in Miami Beach earlier this week by Rubiera. The bling on Sarwar's head is a piece by local jewelry designer Anna Mixon.

Sarwar told HuffPost Miami that she has two big projects in the works. One is the launch of another online shop for housewares and more moderately priced vintage pieces.

Hmm.. I haven't been to Miami yet, so I wouldn't know what the vintage trends are actually like there! BUT from what I see in the pic. It's something I've def. seen on the streets of San Francisco.

The bling on her head was obliterated by the artsy inclusion of blinding sunlight. I'm not impressed by the dark tunic. How about some examples of the quirky, colorful vintage prints referred to in the article?
