Mikhail Nikolaevich Baryshnikov is hailed as one of the greatest ballet dancers of the 20th century. He was also nominated for an Oscar for The Turning Point (1977) and won a Golden Globe for his acting chops in the film. Watching Baryshnikov dance is indescribable, so we won't even make the attempt. In the New Yorker, Joan Accocella drily remarks, "He was always a dramatic dancer" and that much we can agree on. The celebrated dancer turns 64 today, so do a pirouette, watch an episode of "Sex And The City" and view these gorgeous clips of a performer absolutely, completely in his element.
