Hats off to Kate: the Duchess of Cambridge was just named "Hat Person of the Year" by The Headwear Association. Beating Rachel Zoe, Ne-Yo, Justin Timberlake, Bruno Mars and Charlie Sheen -- and taking a whopping 91 percent of the vote — the Duchess was the obvious favorite of online fans.

Kate's facinator and long hair combination look is awful and will always be awful, that she has caused hundreds to imitite this look hasn't done the world any favors.

Hopefully, she will learn to wear hats correctly and not under unstyled high school hair.

Hat on, hair back or up!

Well said. Either she's an adult, 30 year old elegant Duchess or a conflicted young adult trying to hold on to another time and world. That hair style, if it can even be called a hairstyle, is dreadful for a person of her station in life and even for any woman of her age and then to combine that look with formal wear, hats, facinators and her wedding gown is just ghastly. Not only should her hair have been up and off her neck and shoulders for her wedding but many times over in the photos we have seen of her at many public and private formal events.

Surely there is a learning process for her but if you are going to play in the big leagues then one needs to be a quick study. That dreadful eyeliner and heavy make up needs to go, as well.

Shouldn't you be criticizing the photographers? Maybe she's tired of being hounded and critiqued every time she leaves home, for any reason. Does she no longer have that right?
