The contestants on Thursday night's "Jeopardy" are clearly not Rachel Maddow fans, because none of them could identify her in a picture.
The category? "Real Rhodes Scholars." The brainy bunch quickly and correctly answered questions about Wesley Clark, Sen. William Fulbright and — most galling for Maddow — George Stephanopoulos. Then, Alex Trebek asked this simple query: "this cable TV newswoman received a doctorate in politics from Oxford." A picture of Maddow popped up on screen. Instead of an answer, though, there followed one of those awkward "Jeopardy" silences when nobody has a clue. "That is Rachel Maddow," Trebek said.
Maddow can take some consolation, though, with the knowledge that she had already been a successfully answered "Jeopardy" question topic back in 2009.
