I was happy for the actresses of The Help, but the movie was just okay. The rest of this years awards candidates are boring!! No edge. Nothing exciting. VERY safe!

It seems none of the crime show on TV that have the female hard noise Detective who is scripted to act and talk like a man won anything. As soon as you see the tight blouse, big gun and badge on a female, you know it is Cliché. I really roll my eyes when the female has her blouse open to the navel and a gun bigger than she is strapped to her side.

There are so many on TV now:

NCIS - the woman takes the lead (like Ziva)as the men cower (like Gibbs) and act helpless in the background. You don't need to make a strong woman character by belittling or demeaning men.

Fringe - Olivia runs into a dark room alone and fights the shape shifters. Peter and Walter cower in the background. While Lincoln Lee stands behind Olivia.

Person of Interest - Taraji P Henson is the worst thing about this otherwise great show. So why is she their top star? The ghetto speak Det. Carter.

Hawaii Five-0 - the little 80 pound girl detective with handcuffs on can still take down a gangsta with a gun,

Alcatraz - A San Francisco girl cop

The Mentalist -

Cold Squad - Sgt. Ali McCormick and her

Body Of Proof - Medical examiner Megan Hunt's unique approach to solving crimes

Covert Affairs -

Unforgettable -

Blue Bloods - The hot girl detective with the big gun who leads the SWAT squad in to raids.

Heartland -

The Good

Jessica is outstanding in her role. American Horror Story is one of the best tv shows on this year. Boardwalk Empire, excellent show. I just wish they would pick some other instead of the same ones year after year. Alec Baldwin again??? Tiresome.

I love Alex Baldwin but, yeah... Enough. I think Eric Stonestreet is SO deserving for his role on Modern Family!! The man is straight, yet plays a gay man to perfection!!

Congratulations to Jessica Lange and her brilliant performance in "American Horror Story." Clearly, she is one of the top five actresses in the modern Hollywood era. Kudos to Viola Davis as well, another towering talent. I look forward to seeing more stunning performances from her!

The fact that Alec Baldwin (who I like, who's funny on "30 Rock") has won six straight years convinces me that the voting actors aren't actually watching other comedy shows, let alone new ones. If anything, just give it to Steve Carelll once!

Exactly -- she needs to put on some weight -- bony is not a good look.

Am I the only one that thinks the photo of Modern Family is odd? Is Eric Stonestreet avoiding Sophia Vergara or is he just trying to get in the photo to make sure he's in the 'cropped' version. Makes me like him less for some reason.

Yep, you're the only one.

They finally recognized the children of Modern Family; they have a big part of the show.
Alec Baldwin is absolutely terrific on that show as is all of the cast members. They are funny before they talk. It reminds me of Seinfeld, only a modern version of it, a group of nutty people. Absolutely the funniest show on TV, the only one that isn;t good is Tina Faye sorry but she isn't funny. The black guy, the page, the blonde woman, and Alec Baldwin are hilarious.

Alex Baldwin is on "30 Rock".

Ooops. Alec. But, who cares?

So what do the letters SAG mean? Why is it assumed everyone already knows?

OKAY...NOW I'M PISSED!!!!!! You did not honor my Kyra Sedgwick (or whatever her name is ) Dept Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson????? Do you know how many time southern women have quoted Brenda Leigh to get out of sticky situations? You 'OUTTA TOUCH" men should contact women who REALLY, REALLY, REALLY deal with men in posititions of authority that ROUTINELY discount women of authority. I'm really sad.

Congratulations to Viola Davis, I am thrilled for her, as I know she deserves the SAG award. I haven't seen the movie, THE HELP, however the first time I noticed her was in a Criminal Intent show, and she was scary and brilliant her work always amazes me. What an amazing actress she is, and I hope the great parts continue for her. Now I'm waiting for Regina King of the Southland show to get into the movies. She is also a super-talented actress.

The help was a sick movie bringing back racism just what we need right now in usa, she gives her maid a home baked pie with feses and chocolat then laughs after she eats it, what are we teaching people today

Racism will go on for all time. That is just the way it is, sadly. Children should know about that time in our History when it was so bad. But these people are still suffering, i.e., Mississippi.

Its history lets not repeat it. Congrats to Viola Davis...
