This weekend, BET will broadcast the 33rd Annual United Negro College Fund's An Evening with the Stars.

UNCF, longtime advocate for young people of color in education, honored 11 amazing young people, as well as invited incredible artists, like Patti Labelle, to perform.

Still holding true to their motto, "A Mind is a Terrible Thing to Waste", UNCF awards more than 10,000 scholarships and internships every year. UNCF has consistently, advocated and promoted the importance of education through programs and policy work in Washington.

The students honored this year are truly impressive young people. Below, you'll find their inspiring stories, as well as words of inspiration and hopes for the future from each.

You can watch the ceremony tonight on BET at 11pm EST with performances from Patti Labelle, Jill Scott, Ledisi, Erykah Badu, Estelle, and many more.
