VOTE! Super Bowl Snacks Bracket Challenge: Round 1

First Posted: 01/31/2012 8:31 am   Updated: 08/31/2012 10:48 am

Super Bowl Sunday is one of the few days that permits you to lounge in front of the TV and pig out on all the snack food you want (though, your health-conscious friends might try to make you feel guilty about it). But when faced with a smorgasbord of snack options -- nachos, pizza, chili, dip, guacamole, and more -- what's a food-lover to do? Kitchen Daily wants to know which Super Bowl snack food reigns supreme, so we're hosting a four-round bracket challenge! Voting starts now, and you have one day to choose before moving on to Round 2 on Feb. 1. Get voting! (Scroll below the infographic to vote.)

Voting for Round 1 is officially closed, as of 5 p.m. ET (though you can continue voting for fun, if you want). Check back in tomorrow, Feb. 1, when Kitchen Daily unveils Round 2!

I love Superbowl weekend more than I love Christmas. We totally go all out with the Superbowl party. So many kinds of dips, chips, pizza, different finger foods, desserts, beverages. You can't beat good friends and good food!

Skip the TV and have a nice sit down dinner with your kids. The price and payout of1 Superbowl could feed half of many nations or restore an amazing number of programs in our own public schools.

If not for these distractions, we would wake up, wash our faces and brush our teeth with last night's dish water, share one piece of toast and one egg between four, sit quietly until time to go to work or school, eat a quarter of a sandwich for lunch, go home, waste no electricity on tv, radio, computer, or lamp.
Sit and discuss the day, open and share a can of soup, wash dinner bowls, save water for next mornings wash up. Sit obediently discussing way's to cut expences, go to bed before the sun goes down and begin again.
All the while paying taxes, recycling, doing without, paying taxes, scrimping and saving, sitting obediently quiet and making no fuss about paying taxes while our politicians and religious leaders live in gated communities, in million dollar homes, and drive the newest cars and dress in the best designer clothes. Indeed, It's all in the game!
In consideration to the rubble ( us ) which constitutes the base of our (american) empires pyramid, this is our invisable plight, for if we were to consider ourselves as the rubble we truly are, we would revolt.
So these grand distractions and money spending ventures which infuses the economy keeping the masses appeased so they can pay their taxes, are tactically calculated.
Probably like the games of Rome and their distracting offerings.
All empires fall when the "contained" rubble becomes self aware.
