Elizabeth Banks Talks 'Hunger Games' And Author Suzanne Collins

According to Elizabeth Banks, die-hard "Hunger Games" fans have nothing to worry about: The odds are in their favor.

The "30 Rock" actress, who plays the pink-haired Effie Trinket, told Good Morning! Arizona that the book-to-screen transition would be a smooth one.

"I really think we did right by the fans," Banks said. "Suzanne Collins, who wrote the book, she was with us and blessed everything that we did. I know we've done something that she's proud of."

As for Effie, Banks is more skeptical.

"Effie has a really theatrical, over-the-top, completely not me look to her," Banks told The Huffington Post. "I have no idea if people are going to be into it. I hope they are."

"The Hunger Games" hits theaters on March 23, 2012. For more, click over to azfamily.com.
