Karmin's Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan Release 'Broken Hearted' In Time For 'SNL' Performance

Karmin's Amy Heidemann and Nick Noonan became overnight Internet sensations when they released Chris Brown and Nicki Minaj covers on YouTube last January, and they're only getting bigger.

The pop duo, who debuted their original song "Crash Your Party" in October, is back for more. Their single "Broken Hearted" has hit the web, and it certainly has a lot of pep despite its somber title.

"Broken Hearted" will be available on iTunes on February 7, just in time for Zooey Deschanel's "Saturday Night Live" hosting gig on Feb. 11, where Karmin will perform.

As long as they don't pull a stunt like Lana Del Rey and give a performance worthy of the "worst in 'SNL' history" title, their appearance on the show will likely get fans even more excited for Karmin's original album, out in April.

"The original album is not too far-fetched from the YouTube stuff, so if you love the YouTube stuff you're going to love this even more," Heidemann told MTV. "It has those pop melodies, and tons of rap in the verses and the bridge... lots of catchy things. Things you won't be able to get out of your head."

Once again I'll say.... as long as SNL caters to teenagers with their musical acts, I'll be tuning in only to watch Weekend Update.

I heard good things about them so I checked out their music on youtube. I thought both their covers and originals were terrible. Her 'act' is so put on it's painful to watch. I think I'd rather see Lana Del Rey again!

after a while it got to be that the only reason to watch SNL was for the musical act. now you can't even count on that.

SNL's kinda making the super bowl halftime show look like don kirchner's rock concert these days.
