PART II

6. Ron responded, and now is seen as an icon for peace (even if only in name alone), his reputation as violent, unpredictable has changed, as Ron has changed himself...... don't kid yourself Phil did NOT do all this.... Ron did this, and only Ron could do this, just too big of a project.

7. But as phil could pull the best of ROn out of Ron, Phil can do that with basketball plaayers in themselves.... phil can make champions, he knows how to get the best quality out of a player... just something he knows, he understands, and has 11 rings to prove it...............

8. Just like getting the most out of building a house, phil can not only get that out of players, but out of a team, as a UNIT

Maybe that's why he's called the --- ZEN MASTER ---

TO SKRAELING;

I believe their is Alot more than just having good players. Phil is a master, in art form.

1. Phil can pick a team, not just stars, but potential stars, then coach these potential stars, into not just greatness, but into winning championships.

2. Phil is amazing at conducting an orchestra, where as many instruments as possible all play in key (key roles).

3. Phil knew, or maybe still knows, how luck can and can't work agaainst you, or your team.

4. take for instance Ron Artest..... would many coach's gamble on Ron, especially wuith a championship team.... i don't think so, but phil did -- why?

5. I think it may have been a challenge to work with Ron and make a Ron a better person, as a priority, and let the basketball issue be basketball issues on the court.

I like that quote from Lao Tzu.....
can I use it?
I guess I'd really have to ask Lao Tzu, but he might be kinda difficult to reach, so I'll start with you.

I doubt we'll get much other than basketball court strategy out of Phil. He's a class act. Not a kiss and tell guy.

Actually, he kissed and told plenty in "The Last Season" after the Lakes tumultuous upending by the '03-'04 Pistons. Caused quite a stir.

He is a master coach though, but it's not, imo, for any "Zen" syllogisms as much as it is fundamental basketball -- size, defense, movement, spacing & rebounding. Doesn't hurt to have a clutch 4th quarter guy either (Jordan & Bryant)!
