We know, we know. We promised yesterday that we were done with the spring ad campaigns. But then this fell into our inbox and so pleasantly surprised us, we had to share!
Christian Siriano, best known for his stint on "Project Runway" and making frilly dresses for Christina Hendricks, has shot a quite chic ad campaign with Mena Suvari.
Mena, as it turns out, is Christian's good pal and muse (you can see her sitting front row at his Fashion Week shows). She also looks adorable in Christian's dresses, evidenced by the playful Spring 2012 campaign.
Shot at the Soho Grand Hotel in New York, the images and video show Mena traipsing around the hotel, jumping on couches and riding in elevators in Siriano's vivid evening gowns and a cute pair of sunglasses.
One reason the shoot works so well, besides the fact that Mena looks so fabulous, is that this collection of Siriano gowns lacks the typical poofiness and ruffles that have become Siriano's signature. Instead they flow, with long chiffon skirts and tiny, flattering pleats.
It doesn't hurt that the dresses are neon. Who doesn't love a good neon dress?
Take a look at this impressively polished video and photos below. Are you digging the new, improved Siriano gowns?
