Despite all the press releases we've received this year touting healthy Super Bowl fare, we're firmly convinced that people are content to participate in a gorge-fest this Sunday (if not during the Super Bowl, then when?). Thus, HuffPost Food has assembled some of the most extreme Super Bowl creations we could find -- from cheese that looks like a football to a seven-layer dip that looks like a playing field. Not all of these recipes may whet your appetite, but they at least deserve props for creativity. We know there's more out there, so don't hesitate to contact us with your own submission.

Bacon Explosion
In 2009, the New York Times wrote about the meat with 500 grams of fat and 5,000 calories that went viral: the Bacon Explosion from the website BBQAddicts.com. If this "BBQ sausage recipe of all recipes" doesn't give you the meat sweats, probably nothing will.

Snack Stadium
In the past few years, stadium replicas made solely out of snack food have proliferated. They are time-intensive projects, that result in better aesthetic results than gustatory ones, we imagine. Still, they are a wonder of both gluttony and artistry. The snack stadium above comes from some creative minds from Break.com in 2010.

Mexican Cornbread Salad
It's simply not the Super Bowl without an awesome dip. Most take the form of a classic seven-layer dip, but this Mexican cornbread salad goes above and beyond. We're seeing over a dozen layers here. Yowsa!

Football Cheese
Now here's another dip (the more the better, right?), but one that has been formed in the shape of a football. While the ingredients are fairly standard -- cream cheese, cheddar cheese, ham, etc. -- the dip is also topped with bacon for that extra level of "extreme."

Spinach Artichoke Dip
An avid lover of spinach artichoke dip once ate a dip that was the best she ever tasted. So, she desperately tried to re-create it, knowing only that the cook used a recipe on the Food Network, in which there are 38 possible recipes. Ten dip recipes later, she found it. Get the recipe here.

Brownie Dessert Pizza
Pizza and brownies often both make an appearance at Super Bowl gatherings, so it seems almost obvious that the two should be combined. This recipe is pure dessert though -- don't expect any marinara sauce here. Instead, there are marshmallows, maraschino cherries, caramel sauce and more.

Blooming Bacon Cheddar Ranch Bread
We're pretty sure it is impossible not to salivate after looking at this bread on steroids. It contains bacon, sharp cheddar cheese, butter, ranch seasoning mix and marinara sauce. In theory, it looks perfect to share since the first instruction is to slice the bread in rows. However, we're thinking it's possible to put away the whole loaf one's self.

Football Pizza
So easy, yet so smart. This football pizza is nothing more than a plain ole pepperoni pizza that uses sliced cheese (i.e. Swiss or mozzarella) for the stitches.

7-Layer Dip
This is a standard 7-layer dip, made awesomer (yeah, it's a word) by the playing field replica on the guac layer. Tip: use a cake decorating tip, but fill with sourcream, for the lettering.
