Rooney Mara Rated 'Most Desirable' Female Oscar Nominee By AskMen Readers

Who's The Most Desirable Oscar Nominee?

Move over, Marilyn. If AskMen's 2012 "99 Most Desirable Women" survey is any indication, the most desired female Oscar nominee is The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo's Rooney Mara. The best actress nominee came in at No. 3 on the site's reader-generated list released yesterday.

Playing one of America's most desirable icons in history in My Week With Marilyn earned fellow best actress nominee Michelle Williams a spot at No. 63. Jessica Chastain, nominated for best supporting actress for her turn in The Help, was voted the 86th spot.

Mara, who is featured on this month's Vanity Fair cover, has been well-praised for her work in the tense adaptation of Stieg Larsson's thriller. The role of Lisbeth Salander required Mara to strip down for both typical sex scenes and depictions of sexual abuse which were difficult to watch.

How do the Oscar nominees stack up against other movie stars? ScarJo sits at No. 7 on the list, Mila Kunis is at 13 and her Black Swan co-star Natalie Portman took the 21st spot. Anne Hathaway and Demi Moore also make appearances, respectively coming in at 37th and 80th on the list.

Modern Family's Sofia Vergara took the list's top spot, with model Kate Upton, Mara, Victoria's Secret Angel Miranda Kerr and rapper Nicki Minaj rounding out the top five.

Hopefully the Academy will use more meaningful barometers in evaluating the Oscar nominees, but head on over to AskMen for their entire list.

Where would the gents stand? Let us know who you find most desirable in the comments.
