It's probably safe to say that a good chunk of vending machine purchases are impulse buys: those Cheetos do look mighty tasty after you've been sitting at your desk for hours, getting hungrier by the minute. By the time you've finished the bag, there are often pangs of regret, typically of the "I shouldn't have eaten that" variety.
