'Code Name: Geronimo' Brings Osama Bin Laden's Compound To New Mexico

SANTA FE, N.M. — Set builders for "Code Name: Geronimo" are putting together a replica of Osama bin Laden's compound in Pakistan at an old New Mexico state penitentiary as filming begins this week.

The Voltage Productions film will tell the story of the manhunt for bin Laden, with executive producer Tony Mark saying it will focus on the imagined dynamics of the special group of Navy SEALs that carried out the raid and the decision-making processes that might have taken place in Washington.

Mark, who also produced the "The Hurt Locker," tells The New Mexican ( ) all local filming should be done by the end of February. He says he's moving quickly to get the film in theaters while last spring's event in Pakistan remains fresh in Americans' minds. http://bit.ly/AwaTMV

Following the raid, the use of the name "Geronimo" in the operation drew angry criticism from many Native Americans, who felt it disrespected the revered Apache warrior's legacy.

With so many in America with hyper-active imaginations, it's hard to understand why we've lagged behind in technological innovations. Who said anything about Obama in this article? What makes people think this is a propaganda movie? It's simply one studio, Voltage Productions, rushing to put together a movie depicting an already-historic event in our war on terror while the event is still making headlines. While it shows intelligence to read between the lines, often the conclusions are valid only in the mind of the beholder.

The sad part is: After people watch this movie, they'll be convinced it's an actual account of what happened! Of course, the politicians who claimed credit for the success have leaked parts of the truth; enough to endanger future such operations. The only ones who know what really happened are not talking.... the SEALS.

I guess the American people are stupid. We have forgotten about WW1 , WW2 , Korean War, Vietnam, Desert Storm , Spet 11, Pearl Harbor etc. If this movie is not in theaters by October 2012, we most likely will forget all about Obama, sorry I meant Osama, We are a bunch of idiots !! There's the scene in it where Obama is seen giving a speech to a group of mimes and all of the sudden the teleprompter goes out!!!!! The camera pans in to the president's silent scream of "Terrorists !!!!" to which a cameraman responds " No Mr. President, that's Hillary and Nancy!"
