Matt Garza's Championship Ring Stolen: Cubs Pitcher's 2008 ALCS Ring Stolen From Home

FRESNO, Calif. -- Sheriff's detectives say that an American League Championship ring belonging to Chicago Cubs pitcher Matt Garza has been stolen from his California home.

Garza was awarded the ring while playing for the Tampa Bay Rays in 2008. The Rays beat the Boston Red Sox in that year's AL Championship Series.

Garza was selected as the Most Valuable Player of the series, beating the Red Sox twice. His name is engraved inside the ring, which has several white diamonds and one yellow diamond.

For most Ball Clubs it wouldn't matter but when it happens to a Cub it's pretty serious since as far as awards they really don't have a lot to be proud of. Well what can we expect from a team that looks like it plays while sitting in Wheel Chairs.
