Commercials are consumerist propaganda intentionally scripted to change your behavior for the benefit of corporations that exorbitantly pay the mass media to develop, prepare and run it in front of eyeballs. Corporations and society would be better off, and with enormous benefits if not for the many hundreds of billions they waste brainwashing the public to consume, or go into debt mostly to purchase processed food or drink or imported low quality stuff from China that they do not need, and would be healthier without.

Other than the Clint Eastwood commercial, this years batch was the worst ever! Whoever the Ad firms were, they were really overpaid. My students in middle school make better examples of Ads during our persuasive writing unit!!!

Chrysler's ad was the best "feel-good" political advertising since Obama's campaign in 2008. I'm as juiced as Clint is for his second term... you can't keep America down.

If you want to go forward, you've got to put the car in "D" -- not "R"

I liked Betty White's commercial. The others have me wondering just how stupid Madison Avenue thinks we all are.

I loved the Beetle one, that dog was adorable. I HATED the Doritos one; I never ever find dead animals funny in any context.

CRV was so cute, you can tell that Matthew Broderick had a ball doing that one.

Mean Joe was cute, too, I missed that one during the game.

That's about all that stood out for me. Well, the one where the people in line for phones were finally released, that was kinda cute too.

Nothing too terribly stellar or surprising, however. Just my opinion :)

Yes, it was good but nearly as powerful for Detroit as Eminem did last year.

Also think of the commercials as a break from the Political stuff. No candidate spends the money to run ads durning the Super Bowl.

Thank god the Florida primary was over. Otherwise the non-network ads would all have been political ranting. Nice to be reminded that politics are not what America is all about, at least, not all the time.

You might not like commercials but be realistic, they pay for you to watch the freaking game.

All commercials S-U-C-K suck. Especially ones that try way too hard to be funny or cool. Those suck most of all.

Love the doggie-cize and loooooovvvvve the new Beetle! (I actually saw a black Beetle STI about 6 weeks ago, and according to Road & Track, it isn't even available yet, so I wish I had gotten a pic, because no one believes me. It isn't the first time I've caught a prototype or a new model being road tested here in LA. 10-1 they were test driving for R&T, or Motor Trend or Automobile, etc... but I do wish I had gotten the picture. She looked soooooo sweet!

The Bud commercial was one of the funniest ever. Living in a testerone palace (home of all males including the pets) for years, I get and appreciate adolescent male humor. Worthy of repeating. Dumb? Probably. Funny? Absolutely!

Terrible crop of commercials this year. I loved the one from years ago about "herding cats", for an investment firm. Ingenious.
