Rochester Patch:

On this Super Bowl weekend, it may be the ultimate Made-in-Rochester-Hills tale: Madonna revealing her days as a cheerleader for Adams High School helped get her ready for the stage.

In an interview with NFL Network's Rich Eisen this week, Madonna admitted she was nervous about her upcoming halftime performance. She'll perform four songs Sunday night at halftime of the New York Giants-New England Patriots game.

I went to school with Madonna. I have always looked up to her as a local girl gone fabulous.

Dear New York Giants,

This Sunday, the Patriots are gonna get ‘Into the Groove’ and send you to your sad, off-season ‘Holiday’. Use anything you can to try to win, ‘Like a Prayer’, but it won’t work. You may think it’s in ‘Vogue’ to reflect back on your Super Bowl XLII victory, but this time the Patriots will ‘Keep It Together’ and beat you. The Patriots will toy with you, giving you a ‘Ray of Light’, but in the end it’ll be ‘Bye Bye Baby’ and off you’ll go. It’s true that you will ‘Live to Tell’ the world about your loss, but ‘Like A Virgin’, you’ll still be sore and crying the next day. This year’s Super Bowl winner will not be ‘True Blue’, it’ll be Pat Patriot, because you guys ain’t got no ‘Lucky Star’ to guide you.

Go Patriots!
