Nevada Caucus 2012 Results MAP (REAL-TIME DATA)

This is where you'll find the results for Nevada's 2012 Republican caucus.

Going into the presidential contest, Mitt Romney held a commanding lead, according to a survey from Public Policy Polling. The former Massachusetts governor was running with 50 percent support and comfortably ahead of rival contenders former House Speaker Newt Gingrich, U.S. Rep. Ron Paul and former U.S. Senator Rick Santorum.

HuffPost's Mark Blumenthal notes that polling in Nevada had been scarce leading up to Saturday's caucus.

Romney took the Silver State in 2008 with 51.1 percent of the vote, and Paul came in second with 13.7 percent, according to The New York Times. Sen. John McCain, the eventual nominee, finished third with 12.7 percent of the votes cast in the contest.

Nevada has 28 delegates that are awarded proportionally.

Romney got 50.1% of the votes in the Nevada Caucus.

This is the first time he got more votes for him than against him.

When you consider that only 16,500 people voted for him, this does not say much. It is obvious, that the media is making much ado about nothing.

This is so obviously fraud. There is no way that Newt beat Paul. All around the world exit polls are used to help verify the legitimacy of elections. NONE of the exit polls showed Newt with a lead over Paul. Paul had huge rallies with thousands of people showing up, are we to believe that these people simply didn't bother to show up to caucus? The one Caucus were the press stayed and reported from and stayed around for the results was at the late night one and Ron Paul won that one 3:1. I wonder what the outcome would have been if they had live press at all of them waiting for results.

If there is fraud, who is committing the fraud?

This is a Republican caucus run by Republicans.

Why would Republicans underreport votes? I'm sure it is an embarrassment to have so few Republicans show up for the Republican caucus, and it would not be in the Republicans best interest to underreport results. This was embarrassing for them.

Besides, everyone who votes signs in to participate. The small number voting in the Caucus was reported long before votes were counted. It was being reported all day that the number of Republicans voting this year was way below normal for a Presidential election.

The number of votes reported should equal the number of people who voted.

Republicans in Nevada decided to sit out this Republican caucus for some reason.

One the Republicans can't stand Ron Paul. Two many people voted who had not signed in. Ballots were also lossed, the numbers coming in from precincts didn't match up. So precincts claimed no voted were cast. The GOP changed many caucus sight right before the caucus so that only a few people would know were they had to go. There was all kinds of things going on. Also the late night caucus was a complete scam. They told people that if they couldn't make it to the early caucus they could participate in the later one. Then when they showed up they said it was only for people who had gone to worship that day and made them sign a statement saying so. So many people didn't take the day off of work thinking they could go to the later one and then they were not let in. The whole thing stinks of corruption. I could go on and on. I have read many of the local papers from around the state and there are dozens of stories reporting deliberately caused problems.

Yes without a doubt they would. The GOP can't stand Paul. Even when he ran for office in his own state they would run someone against him. The would prefer to have Obama in office over Paul because Obama is closer to the neo-conservatives that have taken over the GOP than Paul ever will be.

I've actually heard people say "The only way to fight it is to put a snake in the white house to stand up to them" WTF??? That is completely flawed logic. That's EXACTLY what they want - another corrupt politician that they can control with their money. We got candidates completely devoid of an ethics or integrity and the US population wants them controlling our country? During the SC primary, the talking heads on FOX kept saying that Ron Paul had Come in 3rd in the previous two states--as though they were being magnanimous about it. Yet, Paul came in SECOND in New Hampshire, garnering more votes than Santorum, Gingrich and Perry combined.

It was too obvious that it was a psychological dig at Ron Paul sup[porters--yet again--to make evryone belive that nobody is really voting for RP.

After Paul won overwhelmingly (58%) in Adelson with Jewish and conservative Christian voters (among whom he is SAID not to poll well), this whole vote "count" is pure horse hockey. Wonder how the rest of the state REALLY voted. Guess we'll never know. THIS is the end of the two party hoax.

That is in accordance with the Rules of the State and the Republican Primary.

Yes and many Ron supporters come from all sides of the spectrum those that did not belong to the GOP and were supporting Ron Paul their vote didn't count. Couldn't switch parties at the time of the caucus.

I'm not a Ron Paul fan but the GOP is even worse.

Will we get results before November? They are pulling the same trick they did in Iowa. They hold back reserve caucus voters that will vote for whom ever the party tells them to. That and losing 8 precincts in the Ames area (pro Paul). Ron Paul won Iowa. The GOP lied and ignored your vote.

Ron Paul runs in a Republican Primary on a Libertarian Platform.

Nevada and Iowa are "closed" primary states. That means you must be registered for the party you vote in. Most of Ron Paul's supporters are Libertarians, independents and Democrats.

I'm surprised he chose to run in a Republican Primary which has Neo-conservatives who believe in a strong national defense at home and abroad, and the Religious Right.

Ron Paul and Republicans have little in common if you truly listen to the platform Ron Paul runs on and the Republican Platform. Miles apart.
