Why are funds being raised for his family? Is there a wife and/or small children being left behind? HIs life-insurance through employment with NCUSD should cover burial expenses and more... So why the fund-raiser? Is this a legitimate effort?

Thank you for your email. We have adjusted the language in the fundraising request for further postings. The Shaun Wild Scholarship Fund was created by Shaun's family and friends, including his parents, to provide scholarships to students pursuing college degrees. Shaun dedicated his short life to education and as you can imagine, his friends and family wanted to carry on his passion for education through a scholarship program. This program is a non-profit and your donation is tax deductible. If you have additional questions, please feel free to contact me directly or through this thread.
