These judges should be artists that have been successful for many years and not flash in the pans like Nicole or even Paula.

Yeah, but that kind of star finds real work, not this contrived schlock.

I'm wondering if Cowell has misjudged his audience. Talent shows are pablum for the "con masses". There are so many talent shows (boring IMO)with none a "stand out" and there's no reason there should be a "stand out" because they mostly showcase mediocre talent with a little "self-degradation" thrown in.

Show won't last two more years. It was awful, and the judges made it about themselves, not the contestants. LA Reid was no better than the others, just way more smug. Couldn't watch it through- totally lost interest like so many other viewers. The genre is dying, if not already dead.

I wanted to like this show, but it is just so mean spirited and hostile that it is just not fun. America Idol in it's 11th season is just so much more fun to watch. I won't be watching next season

Not my kind of show. I just can not stand this Simon guy. He gives me the creeps. If you have to fire more then half of the talent cast then you are on the wrong track of a broken show. The show has already jumped the shark. I will just go downhill and have very little chance to succeed. If I was the head of the Network, I would just dump the show and not waste any production money.

Can we just go back to the days when artists pitched their craft through hard work and not just showing up on some endless 'talent' show competition that's more about the judges than the performers?

I really didn't watch the show - but I loved to watch Nicole Scherzinger.

Totally gorgeous.

Aside from opportunites to view her every few minutes, the rest of the show held no interest for me.

Personally, I love Paula and Simon's dynamic...but when you throw Nicole in there, hell no. Poor Cheryl was a perfect balancer in my opinion. But when Nicole opened her mouth, all she did was send good people home, keep bad ones, and not go with her gut as to avoid 'hurting people's feelings" i.e. Rachel Crow. I liked Steve and thought he did a good job! Maybe what Simon was looking for in host was something more dynamic, but who knows the REAL reason.

All in all, I am sad to see Paula and Steve go. And SO happy to see Nicole go.

Reid? We're stuck with LA Reid again? In my opinion he was a total hypocrite. He criticized performers for doing the same thing each performance but embraced Astro throughout - and Astro was a one trick pony who could not sing at all. Go figure.

It's been over ten years and all shows get stale and these music shows have reached their peak and it's not what people care about anymore. America Idol, X factor and the Voice are like all the stuff that was cool a couple years ago, but now it's tired and no ever makes it music like before. Put those dogs down.

Oh please! This story isn't factual. L A Reid, is a major financial contributor to this show. It may be Simon's baby, and he may be rich, but he could not finance this all by himself. It was the two women and the host who were left out in the cold. They were never part of the big financial investment or reward system.

At least Nicole is gone i cant stand her much less the show...
