Stun Gun Used On Evangeline Lucca, 37, For Blocking Line At McDonald's Drive-Thru

HOPE MILLS, N.C. -- North Carolina authorities say they used a stun gun on a woman motorist who blocked a McDonald's drive-thru for 20 minutes after employees refused to serve her because she cut in line.

Authorities say 37-year-old Evangeline Lucca bypassed the order screen and line and pulled directly up to the pick-up window Friday afternoon at the restaurant in Hope Mills, about 60 miles south of Raleigh.

Tanna says Lucca was subsequently shocked by deputies and charged with second-degree trespass. A phone listing for the woman couldn't be found.

Authorities say the woman's daughter was taken into protective custody.

Cops are getting way over zealous with the use of their tasers. Those are meant to be used in lieu of lethal force. So, that goes to say, they're meant to be used when someone is acting in a fashion that COULD POTENTIALLY be a life threatening situation.

Unless she was revving her engine or trying to pull away there was no indication that force was necessary. Yes, we all have had people cut in line, it's not fair and angers us, also blocking the drive-thru is not mature either.

However, the use of a electrical weapon can also be a deadly weapon as well. Police don't stop to ask If you have heart conditions or pacemakers before they taser you. So in theory, Police are just as responsible for taser deaths and injuries as the people who were tasered.

She was probably tased because of putting up a fight from exiting her vehicle in order to avoid arrest. No sympathy here! I wish I had an egg launcher for people who tailgate and cut me off.

Criminal Trespass is a high enough charge that the lower charge of "Resisting" will most likely be used to plea out.

After getting about 5 miles away he remembered it and went back. Employees had gone through the bag and found a tiny amount of pot tucked in the bottom. They called the police. When he went back they pretended to be unable to find the bag and attempted to stall him while they again contacted the police. When he left and got a mile away he saw blue lights behind him and police confronted him with the bag and its contents, towed his fathers car, and took my son to jail. Beware! We have been watching Corporate America and now little brother is using Big Brother to fight back. One more tiny step toward the fascist state. Neighbor turning in neighbor. Using a stun gun on a lady in line at McDonalds.

So they looked to see who's bag it was so they could return it and found some illegal substance and contacted the police, so what? Remember Best Buy is private property. Lesson learned. Don't be stupid when it comes to where you put illegal substances.

The parent went to jail and so the child had to be supervised until arrangements could be made to place the child with other family or foster home.

I can think of a lot of times when this could be used! People who don't wait for others to exit the train before boarding, those trying to jump the queue for flights that don't have allocated seating, people pushing in front of you to get served, the list goes on. What ever happened to common courtesy?
