What a reckless article, encouraging people to scare the hell out of their cats with vacuums.
Any true cat owner will tell you they are terrified of them and forcing the kitten into a confrontation with a Rottweiler goes beyond cruel. When I was 6 the neighbor's hunting dog got loose, came into our yard and killed our kittens right in front of me, I've never forgotten it.Don't people realize they are doing damage to their cats mental well being when they traumatize them like this? In most states you can be held criminally liable for torturing animals or, like this article, encouraging other to do this. The people at Huffpost might be criminally accountable if they encourage people to torture pets like they seem to be doing with this flagrant disregard for the current laws pertaining to torturing animals.Very interesting don't you think ?

Cornered Kitty: you are a horrible cat owner and don't deserve to own a cat! Shame on you. The cat is not there for your entertainment!

Some of these video are prime examples of why dogs and cats become mean. These people should not have animals of any kind. They don't have the intellectual capacity to care for them properly

You're right, most states have laws protecting pets from this sort of abuse, I'm surprised Huff Post would go out on a limb by encouraging this type of behavior.

Some of the people in these videos are really cruel. I'd be careful sleeping around the cat after some of things they've done to them. Not funny.

Some cats don't mind vacuums, and their antics can be funny. That said, the video "Cornered Kitty" shows a cat being tortured with the owners laughing in the background while upping the terror of the animal by turning on the vacuum. The cat is clearly in distress it's crying, hissing and trying to escape. I hope the owners are turned in and charged with animal abuse.

I totally agree with your comment, canipsil. I skipped the video the first time because I didn't
even like the title of the video "cornered kitty". However, I decided to watch the video.
I can't believe this woman that you hear laughing the whole time as she prods the kitten with
the vaccuum hose and the kitten is clearly in distress, poor little animal. Then the woman still
laughing tells someone to turn on the vaccuum cleaner and the little kitten is clearly terrified.
Not only that, but the woman chases the kitten around the room with the vaccuum clearner
as the frightened kitten tries to escape and hide. This woman and the person videotaping this
example of animal abuse should be charged. How can anyone think this is funny to terrify a
kitten ? These people should not have a pet (s) if they treat them this way and what a nerve
to post this on the internet.

ANYONE WHO THINKS IT IS FUNNY TO TORMENT A CAT IS JUST SICK!!!!! I do not find it the least bit funny. The ones who like to be vaccumed brought back memories of my first cat. He lived to be groomed that way. I always thought he was an odd ball.Guess not.

I'm pretty disappointed you linked to the "Cornered Kitty - Kitty vs. Vacuum" video HuffPo. There's nothing cute or funny about people backing their clearly terrified cat into a corner and then proceeding to chase him around the room with the vacuum even after he gets away. These same posters also have a video of them terrorizing the cat with a pitbull and throwing shoes at him. These are people than enjoy harassing their cat not ones that giggle at the "cute" things their does.
