Child Sex Predator Kai Lundstroem Pedersen Gets 30 Years For Terrorizing Missouri Girl

A convicted Danish sex predator who emotionally tortured an 11-year-old Missouri girl and released naked videos of her on the Internet will probably spend the rest of his life in a U.S. prison.

Kai Lundstroem Pedersen, 61, was sentenced last week to 30 years in prison after he used several online accounts to extort the young girl into sending him naked photos and videos -- all from behind his computer screen in Randers, Denmark, McClatchy Newspapers reported.

"Based on this sentence, I don't think you're going back to Denmark," U.S. District Judge Greg Kays said at Pedersen's sentencing in Kansas City.

Cops ended Pedersen's perverted exchanges -- which even his own lawyer classified as "horrific" and "unspeakable" -- after they tracked him moving from Denmark to Stony Brook, N.Y. in September 2010.

Since July that year, he'd been following the little girl online, posing as a 14-year-old boy who said he'd release videos of her if she didn't send more.

"If you don't want me to post everything on the Internet, then write back to me on Facebook," he wrote on Aug. 1, 2010, according to the Kansas City Star. "Then maybe we can find a way to prevent me from making everything public."

Eventually, the child pornographer sent the video to the girl's friends, pressuring them to get her to talk to him. Pedersen assumed several online identities, posing as violent thugs when he threatened the girl.

He pleaded guilty to extortion and production and distribution of child pornography. In court, he was described as unapologetic. His lawyer's only defensive argument was to note that Denmark would have given a more minor sentence at just six years.

When I was 17 my sister was 12, she had a friend who lived 2 houses away. The girl had really nice parents and her grandfather lived there with them. My parents knew them well, the girls would spend the night back and forth. It was all good. Then my sister stopped wanted to hang out with her friend. She told my father that during the summer (six months before) the grandfather had told her she had a nice body and asked if he could hug her. She not knowing any better let him and ever chance he got he took it further. My father beat the old man and was charged with assault. During the investigation it was uncovered that the old mman had sexually abused his granddaughter and a few more of her friends. My father didnt go to jail, and I guess my sister worked her way through what was done to her. But it stuck with me. When my daughter was born I vowed that NOTHING liike this would ever happen to her. And I kept that vow. So you people may call me a stalker or whatever, but unless you know what the face of an abused child looks like. Please dont judge me.

I am so tired of these "things". I don't care if you are a 17 or 70, luring kids into sex acts to film them or threatening them into sending you nude pics should land you in prison for life! This man is an animal! I'm glad he won't be able to hurt this or any other little girl ever again!

Young girls who make and send sexually explicit videos don't think long-term. I'm sure the guys lay it on thick: "no one else is gonna see, if you loved me you'd do it, this is just between us, etc etc." But the minute he gets the pics and vids, he's laughing and passing it around to his boyz.

I am glad this low-life is getting locked up and will be eating his prison food on the floor like the dog that he is, but there is a teachable moment in this incident. This should serve as a warning for all young ladies who are thinking about "doing something special" for their b/f: give that scrub a gift certificate to a sporting goods store or something...don't make and share intimate videos and pictures.

I don't think I was doing any victim-blaming and certainly didn't mean to come across that way. But in cases where sexual videos are purposely made, I just think a little responsibility and common sense should kick in.

I used to live in Memphis, TN and still communicate with old friends. One of my friend girls is a high school teacher. You wouldn't believe the number of cell phones she (and her colleagues) have confiscated and reported to school administration and law enforcement that contained x-rated material: girls bent over in thongs or with their legs wide open, topless pics, pics showing intimate piercings and tats, you name it. There was even a video link of something called The Rape Dance (I believe that story made national news) that was also passed around.

The people involved don't seem to care how these images and videos could ruin their lives. The only true victims in cases like this are the children who've been kidnapped, are victims of human trafficking, and have been forced into the porn and/or sex industry. I just have a hard time applying the victim label to someone who continuously takes pics of their nether regions and purposely pass them around.

Subhumans who sexually exploit minors online should be gnawed by big rats (think Willard the movie). But the T & A pics need to stop. They are not cute, sexy, an expression of "love", and they will cause more harm than good.

When my daughters were in their early teens I "bugged" the house phones and listen to EVERY conversation.I followed them to movies, parties, everywhere. I was THE POLICE. Everyone told me I was sick, that kids needed to be kids. Well 2 college degrees later, WHO IS LAUGHING NOW!!! You have to watch out for your children because there are evil people out there who are waiting for you not to.

So..how did he get the initial videos? Just curious...if he used videos to extort more...he had to have gotten the first one from her too! So, she was willing to send this stranger a sexual video...then stopped and he extorted more....? This story leaves a lot of unanswered questions...like where were her parents in all this?

However, the parents bear a huge part of the responsiblity. It is their job to protect their child.

Out children knew that as long as they were our dependents their rooms (and later their cars), their computers, and all electronic media were subject to inspection at any time.
