I'm amazed Brandeis isn't on the list! How was this list compiled?

I'ts great that C.W. Post made the list but that is a photo of LIU's Brooklyn Campus. C.W. Post is located on three former Gold Coast estates on Long Island's north shore -- absolutely stunning campus! www.liu.edu/post

Ummm, how come almost every major university in the greater boston area is on the is list and they somehow forgot Harvard and MIT. Schools full of nerds = Social Awkward.

For college students i'm surprised more of you haven't realized this list is in alphabetical order....not order of social awkwardness.

Arizona U?

I went to Boston University, and part of the reason I transferred (apart from not meeting the GPA requirement for a scholarship I had) was that everyone seemed to be sitting alone at lunch tables. I found it much easier to talk to people and make friends in the new college I go to - a good public university, which is not on this list. I consider myself "geeky" socially awkward. BU didn't have the geeky socially awkward type of poeple, it had "normal"/cool-looking socially awkward people.
I agree with this school being socially awkward, but I don't think people who thought of themselves as socially awkward in high school would necessarily fit in here.
At least that's my opinion - maybe I didn't try making friends hard enough :)

i think what makes someone seem cool might be that they seem aloof--via sitting alone at a table-because they (as in I) didn't feel comfortable talking to people.-I went to BU too btw. I was definitely surprised to see BU on the list too though. It seemed like a relatively normal school

It's Boston - people are not friendly here. And I know, BU has a good amount of international students but it is still Boston. I know - I live here.

There are plenty of friendly people in Boston

The chemistry bathroom at Augsburg is haunted. Maybe the students are just scared.

No MIT? I went to some parties there and while the odds were good, the goods were odd.

Hahaha please, why was Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University not up there! It is full of engineers and pilots with not even 20% females. I am a female and know how socially awkward it is for people to talk to me. This definitely should have been on the list!

No University of Chicago?

This list is bogus.

Haha it's funny cuz before I opened this list (which was clearly a mistake), I said "The U of C needs to be #1 on this."

These lists are jokes. I need to stop clicking on them and giving them hits.

That being said, I did quite well for myself back in my UofC days.

I don't know if I would recommend huge universities for the socially awkward - students in general can really feel lost. A list of medium size and smaller colleges/universities with details of why they were picked would have made the article more interesting and credible. Looks like who ever made this list just pulled the names out of a hat.

They are officially running out of thing to "list". The University of Arizona? As a side note, my aunt, a former Miss (the state I live in 197? - and second runner-up in Miss America - about as FAR from socially awkward as you can get) graduated from one of these colleges.

This is completely useless without some mention of the criteria considered in placing an institution on this list. Often slideshows have some commentary for each image that tell particulars. This is a case which cries out for such.

I am disappointed. I have a grandson who in a few years is really going to need this information.

I agree. Very strange. What's the point without more information?

Exactly what I was thinking. What a dumb article.

Expressing Who I Am

From looking at those pictures of various colleges, I would rather come out of my shell and become more sociable.

Don't judge a whole campus by one photo. I know the one for Muskingum University (apparently they missed the memo on the name change) is showing a photo of the oldest building on campus, in which only a very small handful of classes occur. Plus it's been renovated this year so it doesn't even look like that anymore. I'm sure many others have a similar story.

Clark. I don't recognize the building. A very old photo, indeed.
